Site work and new construction of a military facility in Tucson, Arizona. Completed plans call for site work for a military facility; and for the construction of a 45,025-square-foot military facility.
Design and construction of a 45,025 square foot Communications Squadron headquarters facility under a design-build approach, including a reinforced concrete foundation, concrete slab, structural steel frame, standing seam metal roof, and exterior systems. Portions of the facility shall comply with Intelligence Community Directive 705 criteria and standards, and the overall design must align with Department of Defense, Air Force, and base design standards. The facility shall incorporate a 500KW generator in accordance with Air Force Manual 32-1062 and be designed to withstand applicable wind loads and seismic requirements as defined by governing codes and design guides. Work includes all supporting infrastructure such as site improvements, utilities, communications systems, pavements, parking, and sidewalks necessary to deliver a complete and fully operational facility. Construction shall meet permanent facility standards per Unified Facilities Criteria 1-200-01 and comply with antiterrorism and force protection requirements in accordance with Unified Facilities Criteria 4-010-01, while utilizing local materials and construction techniques where cost effective.
