Republic Steel Shelving or a comparable substitute is required, which must be interchangeable with the current shelving. The shelving must be gray and able to hold at least 310 pounds. Vendor shall provide all materials and labor for transport, assembly, and installation of the shelving to manufacturer specifications on site. Unused materials remain the property of the Kentucky Department of Libraries and Archives (KDLA). Specifications include: 428 units, each 15 shelves high (16 feet), with shelves measuring 42W x 30D. Quantities required are Double Faced Integral Back Shelving (6420), Side braces (3424), Back braces (1712), L-shaped posts (856), Beaded posts - full height (856), Clip Sets (6420), and Column Protectors (30, if current ones are unsuitable). The vendor or their freight handler must contact KDLA at least three days before delivery. Vendor must ensure correct shipment and use of all specified parts, without substitution of side braces for back braces or vice versa. Loading dock and pallet jack are available; the vendor must supply any other required equipment such as a forklift.
