The work consists of reclamation activities to return the permit area to permanent program standards. This includes stabilizing eight actively moving and/or eroding slides using rock core drains, rock toe buttresses, armored ditches, and regrading for positive drainage. Seven temporary bench ponds are to be filled, compacted in 1 lifts, and graded for positive drainage to the existing natural outslope. All haul road berms will be removed by grading in place or relocated as fill material. Diversion ditches will be removed by grading for a smooth transition into the upper slope, then tracked in. Silt traps and silt checks are to be installed in constructed ditches and other locations for silt control and as flow dissipaters. Silt barriers, such as fence or bales, will be used to prevent or reduce off-site silt migration. All disturbed areas will be revegetated with agricultural limestone, seedbed preparation, fertilizer, and hydro-seeding or hydro-mulching. Erosion control blanket will be used as needed. A permanent section of haul road currently utilized by the landowner will be graded and graveled for erosion protection and the longevity of the roadway.
