A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Schedule 1 includes parking lot construction and Schedule 2 includes lighting and communication. Additive Alternative #1 is embankment. The work includes, but is not limited to: excavation, backfill, utility infrastructure, asphalt paving, lighting, security cameras, pavement markings, topsoiling, and seeding. All tools, equipment, materials, and labor necessary to complete the project are included. All bids must be accompanied by lawful monies of the United States or a Cashier's Check, a Certified Check, Bid Bond, Bank Money Order or Bank Draft, drawn and issued by a National Banking Association located in the State of Montana, or by any Banking Corporation incorporated under the Laws of the State of Montana, in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid, payable to the order of the City of Billings as liquidated damages if the successful bidder fails or refuses to execute the contract. After a contract is awarded, the successful bidder must furnish separate Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract. Contractors and any subcontractors working on this project require registration with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry prior to bidding. The requirements of 49 CFR Part 26 apply to this contract and the Owner encourages participation by all qualifying firms regardless of business size or ownership. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the best interest of the Owner.
