The work consists of cyclical equipment replacement at Lift Station #7 on Reno Drive in the City of Wayland including submersible pump replacement, check valve replacement, natural gas generator replacement, the addition of a radar level sensor and controller, and various appurtenances. Bidders are instructed to submit a certified check or bank draft payable to the owner or a satisfactory bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid. No bids may be withdrawn for at least ninety days after the scheduled closing time. The successful bidder must furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price. The use of local contractors and labor is encouraged. Work Included: The item of Remove & Replace Ex. Generator includes the removal of the existing generator, furnishing and installation of a complete standby power generator together with a disconnect switch, an automatic transfer switch and other appurtenances as required. This shall include standby generator, electrical, control system, fuel lines including natural gas connection, housing, all required wiring modifications to connect to the existing electrical systems, all restoration, etc. and other work and materials necessary to install complete and ready for operation, the standby generator as shown on the plans and as specified. The work shall also include transporting the existing generator to the Wayland DPW Garage located at 965 S. Main Street, Wayland, MI 49348. The item of Remove & Replace Ex. Automatic Transfer Switch includes the removal of the existing automatic transfer switch, furnishing and installation of a complete automatic transfer switch other appurtenances as required. This shall include all required wiring modifications to connect to the existing electrical systems, all restoration, etc. and other work and materials necessary to install complete and ready for operation, the automatic transfer switch. The work shall also include transporting the existing automatic transfer switch to the Wayland DPW Garage located at 965 S. Main Street, Wayland, MI 49348.
