The scope of work consists of all engineering, design, fabrication, testing, packaging, and delivery of a Major Electrical Equipment and its accessories, including manufacturer's field services at the job site. All work is to be completed within the specified time frame. Instructions to bidders include requirements for bid submission, such as registration as a potential supplier, inclusion of all documents in a combined PDF file with bookmarks for electronic submissions, and the provision of both electronic and hard copies of documents. Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check must accompany the bid, and electronic copies of the front and back of the check or bid bond must be included with electronic submissions. Bids must also include a Corporate Resolution or written evidence of authority authorizing the person signing the bid. The successful bidder will be required to execute performance and labor and material payment bonds in the full amount of the contract. All bids must be submitted using the provided bid form, and no bidder may withdraw a bid for at least forty-five calendar days after the bid opening. The Lafayette Consolidated Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to participate.
