The rehabilitation of deteriorated wastewater collection mains using point repair will require excavation to correct structural defects and to reduce inflow/infiltration. All work is to be completed within 180 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Sealed bids will be received either electronically or in-person at the Purchasing Division at 705 West University Avenue, Lafayette, Louisiana, until 11:00 AM Central Time on the 29th day of June, 2026. Bids received after the specified time will not be considered and will be returned unopened. All question or exceptions regarding this project must be submitted no later than noon 12:00p.m. (CST) on Monday, June 22, 2026. Any questions and/or exceptions pertaining to this project, specifications and bid documents must be sent in writing via email to Dabne Dover @ dabnedover@lafayettela.gov Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid plus any additive alternates. The check or bond must be from a compliant financial institution or insurance company as described. Bids must be signed according to legal requirements and include a Corporate Resolution or Certificate of Authority. Failure to include these documents will be cause for rejection of the bid. Bids must be submitted on the form provided with the specifications. The successful contractor must execute performance and labor and material payment bonds for the full contract amount within ten days of award. Contractors submitting bids of $50,000.00 or more must be licensed for the classification of Municipal and Public Works Construction, and must display their license number on the bid envelope.
