As of 4/21/26, this project has not yet been awarded. Project set to be awarded on 5/7/26. The scope of work includes the reconstruction and resurfacing of Herbert Road and Davis Station Road, storm drainage improvements, driveway and curb reconstruction, SESC, roadway striping, and yard restoration, as well as all other work of any type or description necessary for the project, whether or not specifically described in the contract documents. All base bid work must be completed within 105 calendar days from notice to proceed. Instructions to bidders require the bid packet to be completed as designated in the contract documents, enclosed in a sealed envelope with the bidder's name and address and the project name on the outside, and addressed to the Municipal Clerk. Bid packets must be accompanied by a statement of consent of surety from an authorized surety company and either a bid bond or certified check drawn to the order of "Township of Upper Freehold" for not less than ten percent of the total bid price amount, but not exceeding $20,000. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds for the full amount of the project. The bidder must comply with all statutory requirements referenced in the contract documents, including business registration, prevailing wage, public work contractor registration, and affirmative action requirements. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, with the right reserved to reject any or all bid packets as permitted by law.
