The City of Miramar, Utilities Department is soliciting bids for the removal and replacement of one 12-inch and two 18-inch mechanical joint plug valves. The 12-inch valve replacement is for draining Aeration Basin #2, which is periodically taken out of service for cleaning and maintenance. The two 18-inch process suction valve replacements are for isolating Clarifiers #1 and #2. External contractors are required to provide additional expertise, equipment, and specialized labor to ensure repairs and enhancements are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
