This improvement consists of milling 0.7 miles of asphalt roadways to a depth of 2.5 inches and resurfacing with 1.5 inches of intermediate asphalt and 1 inch of surface course asphalt. The project also includes approximately 100 square yards of 4-inch deep pavement repair. Domestic steel use requirements as specified in Section 153.001 of the Revised Code apply to this project. Each bidder is required to complete and file with their bid the enclosed Proposal Guaranty and Performance/Payment Bond Form with a surety company authorized to transact business in the state. Successful bidders must enter into a contract and provide a Contract Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount equal to 100% of the estimated cost of the work. Bids from corporations not chartered in Ohio must include certification authorizing business in Ohio. The successful bidder must pay at least minimum wage rates as pre-determined by the Secretary of Labor for the project, and comply with all contract requirements for Equal Employment Opportunities and affirmative action regulations. All blanks in the proposal must be filled in ink or typewritten, and the entire contract book must be submitted intact with the bid. The Village of Windham reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities in bidding.
