Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties making the same and all persons interested therein and be accompanied by a satisfactory BID GUARANTY: either a BID BOND or a BID AND PERFORMANCE PAYMENT BOND executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount for each individual proposal, or by a certified check, cashier’s check, or a letter of credit in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount for each individual proposal, payable to Richland County Board of Commissioners as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into. SBE participation goals have been set on this project for those certified as SBE’s with the Ohio Department of Transportation, and qualified to bid with ODOT. SBE Goal 9%. Attention of bidders is particularly called to the prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. The estimated construction cost: $1,013,610.00. Only ODOT pre-qualified contractors for WORK TYPE 20, Level 1 Bridge, are eligible to submit bids for this project. Pre-qualification must be in force at the time of the bid, at the time of the award, and through the life of the construction contract.
