Stony Brook University Hospital proposes to purchase an Emergency Power System and related items, with the scope and specification provided by the Design Firm of Record, Lizardos Engineering. The product must be provided by one of the following manufacturers: Caterpillar Inc. or Cummins, subject to compliance with requirements. Interested bidders must submit all documents clearly describing the proposed item(s) for evaluation. Failure to submit the required information before the closing date will eliminate the vendor from further consideration. Items that may appear equal may not satisfy the requirement due to differences in material composition, size, or environmental application. All questions must be submitted in writing via email, citing the IFB page, section, and paragraph when applicable. Only written answers are official. This procurement is subject to NYS Finance Law §139 j&k, which restricts permissible contact to the individual listed. Successful contractors must submit valid and current NYS Workman’s Compensation and Disability Forms, and complete documents related to NYS Finance Law §139 j&k and Public Officers Law. Vendors are recommended to file the required Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire online via the New York State VendRep System and provide their New York State Vendor Identification Number when enrolling. Paper questionnaires are also available. If a vendor chooses not to provide a bid, they must fill out the first page of the Bid Specifications, select "no bid," and submit it to the buyer. Failure to respond may result in removal from the active bidder's list. If attending the bid opening, acknowledgment of attendance is required no later than one week before the bid closing date. Emailed or faxed copies of required documents will not be accepted; this is a sealed bid advertisement.
