The work includes on-call services for lawn care and debris removal for abating vegetation nuisances on private property. The types of work required are grass cutting, grass trimming, bush and brush trimming or clearing, and debris removal. Work is to be performed on properties declared a nuisance by the city and must be completed as directed, on a case-by-case basis, within two business days of notice. Contractors may be required to submit an hourly estimate for specific jobs. Bids must be submitted on the provided bid form, signed by an authorized officer, and enclosed in a sealed envelope clearly marked “On-Call Services for Lawn Care and Debris Removal.” No second-tier subcontracting is allowed. The city will award the contract to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder and reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals are encouraged to bid and will not be discriminated against.
