Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in San Francisco, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The project consists of improvements to the upper and lower play yards at Yick Wo Alternative Elementary School. For the Upper Play Yard: remove the existing playground surfacing, provide new acrylic playground surfacing system with slip sheet, provide striping for new game lines over the playground surfacing, remove the existing basketball post, and provide two new basketball standards with footing, backboard, hoop, and net. For the Lower Play Yard: remove existing modular protective playground tiles below play structure and provide new modular protective playground tiles below the play structure. Bid proposals must be submitted on forms furnished by the District and conform with the Bid and Contract Documents. Each bid must be accompanied by the required bid bond security, subcontractors list, non-collusion declaration, and statement of bidders qualification, as well as all other items described in the instructions to bidders. Bidders must pay prevailing wage rates as determined by the Director of the State of California Department of Industrial Relations. Bidders and all subcontractors must be registered as required by Labor Code section 1725.5. Bidders must possess a valid Class B, General Building Contractor license at the time bids are opened. Each bid proposal must include bid security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the bid. No bid proposals may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after opening. Attendance at the mandatory job walk is required. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive irregularities or informalities in any bid or bidding. The District has a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Participation Goal Program establishing a three percent (3%) participation goal for DVBEs. All bidders must submit DVBE worksheets to confirm two advertisements were published at least 14 days prior to bid opening.
