As of May 8, 2026, project is not yet awarded. The project generally consists of trimming, pruning, and/or removal of numerous trees within the Meadow Creek Manor Complex, the Village Green Apartment Complex, and the Valleyview Village Apartment Complex. Sealed bids must be submitted to the Franklin County Housing Authority's main office. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in an amount equal to five percent of the bid price, which may be a bid bond from a surety authorized to do business in the Commonwealth or a certified good faith check drawn upon a bank authorized to do business in the Commonwealth. The successful bidder will be required to furnish acceptable performance and payment bonds, each valued at 100% of the contract amount. The bidder must carry various insurances including Workers' Compensation Insurance for employees, and provide proof of these insurances. Only companies in attendance at the mandatory pre-bid conference will have their bids opened. The Franklin County Housing Authority reserves the right to award the project in its entirety, to complete the work in phases during multiple years, or to complete only a portion of the project. The Authority also reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive irregularities in any bid. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder whose bid meets or exceeds the criteria established within the contract documents. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days subsequent to bid opening. Attention is called to the provisions of equal employment opportunity and payment not less than federal wage rates as set forth in the specifications. The work performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Act of 1968.
