Site work and paving for a road / highway in Leesburg, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
**As of May 13th, 2026, this project has been awarded to Griffin Grading and Concrete to $4,574,458.** The Lee County Board of Commissioners is accepting sealed written bids from qualified contractors for road resurfacing services for the following 12 roads in Lee County: Winifred Road from the Dougherty County Line to Cookville Road, Oakland Parkway from U.S. 82 to the Roundabout, Pinewood Road from the previous paving project (Deer Run) to U.S. 19, Mossy Dell Road from New York Road to S.R. 32., Graves Springs Road from S.R. 32 to Forrester Parkway, and all of the Canterbury Subdivision including the full length of Greyfriars Ln., Churchill Cir., Daughtry Ln., Ashwood Ct., Thimblemill Dr., Battersea Ct., and Ferrell Ct. In general, these roads are to be patched as directed by Engineer, leveled with either 100 lbs / sy of OGI or 85 lbs/sy of 9.5 mm asphalt and topped with either 165 lbs/sy of 12.5 mm asphalt or 135 lbs/sy of 9.5 mm asphalt overlay. Winifred Road is to be widened by milling a minimum 9 into the existing edge of asphalt to redevelop the edge of pavement. Mossy Dell Road is to be widened by milling a minimum 12 into the existing edge of asphalt to redevelop the edge of pavement. Forrester Parkway will be restriped from State Route 133 to Philema Road. Other included items are high build traffic striping, rumble strips, stop bars, shoulder grading and other misc. items pertaining to the project. A bid bond, or an irrevocable letter of credit, or a cashier's check in the amount of 10% of the bid amount payable to the Lee County Board of Commissioners from a company authorized to do business in the State of Georgia. A performance bond in the amount of the bid. A payment bond in the amount of the bid. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids received and/or disregard informalities or irregularities in the Bids received.
