Site work and paving for a road / highway in Ormond Beach, Florida. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) proposes to resurface approximately 6.902 miles of State Road A1A from north of Roberta Road to the Flagler County line in northern Volusia County. The project includes multiple safety enhancements such as adding new pedestrian crosswalks, installing Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) at key locations, constructing median islands at Imperial Heights Drive and Sand Dollar Drive, and developing a 10-foot-wide shared-use path with curb and gutter on the southbound side of S.R. A1A. Additional improvements include signing, pavement markings, drainage enhancements, and lowering the posted speed limit where feasible. Construction scheduling is being coordinated with the completion of a buried seawall within the project limits.
