** As of May 21,2026 , project was awarded to Alvar Fence Co. but awarded amount is not available.** Butte County Resource Conservation District (BCRCD) is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the Coutelenc Rd MacNab Fencing Project. The project includes installing approximately 1,800 feet of heavy-duty pipe or pipe-and-rock fence adjacent to Coutelenc Rd, starting a few dozen feet north of the intersection of Coutelenc Road and Skyway. The project site is owned by the U.S. Forest Service and contains naturally occurring asbestos; the contractor is responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations. The contractor is responsible for all prescribed work, materials, and associated equipment necessary to complete the project. The project is considered a public works project, so the contractor must follow all Federal and State laws regarding prevailing wages and certified payroll. Bidders must include a Bid Proposal Form, Non Collusion Affidavit, Bidder Verification of Site Visit, and a Fire Plan in their submissions. Contractors must have an active California Contractors license, appropriate bonds, and liability insurance, and furnish a performance bond equal to at least 100% of the contract price within fifteen calendar days of receiving the Notice of Award. Contractor and any subcontractors agree to furnish Certified Payroll Affidavits, Statements of Non-Performance, completed DAS 140 and 142 forms, and all other California Labor Compliance documents. All certified payroll documents or non-performance documents with original signatures and payroll numbers must be submitted biweekly and uploaded to DIR. Contractors are also required to contact USA California to mark any underground utilities in the project work area at least three days prior but no more than fourteen days before work begins. BCRCD reserves the right to accept the bid that is in its best interest, even if it is not the lowest, and may waive irregularities or reject any and all proposals. All bidders will be presumed to have read and be familiar with the plans and contract documents.
