The USDA Forest Service, Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests requires vegetation management services on the Oconee Ranger District and the Conasauga Ranger District. The work includes wildlife midstory vegetation control, site preparation using foliar and mechanical methods, and seedling release and weeding treatments. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supervision, tools, herbicides, and materials necessary to complete the work, as no Government-furnished equipment or materials will be provided. The period of performance is from August 1, 2026 through October 31, 2026. The scope of work on the Oconee Ranger District consists of wildlife midstory treatment using cut-surface and foliar methods on 457 acres, site preparation using foliar methods on 256 acres, and site preparation using mechanical methods on 26 acres. On the Conasauga Ranger District, the contractor shall perform seedling release and weeding treatments using basal bark, foliar, and manual slashdown methods on 174 acres. The total acreage to be treated under this requirement is approximately 913 acres. A detailed Statement of Work is provided as an attachment.
