Major project elements include reconstructing approximately 7,100 square yards of existing paved apron to meet new pavement strength requirements; grinding and inlaying approximately 24,700 square yards of existing paved surfaces; constructing associated storm drain infrastructure, including pavement underdrains; installing aircraft tie-down anchors for parking positions; minor taxiway edge lighting improvements to replace conductors within existing infrastructure; and installing taxiway, apron, and parking position permanent markings. Drawings and specifications may be examined at the Jackson County Airport Administration Office and the offices of the Engineer. Bidders must be registered with the Construction Contractors Board as required by ORS Chapter 701. The contract requires compliance with ORS 279C.800 to 279C.870 and payment of the higher prevailing wage rate according to state and federal requirements. Bidders must have an employee drug-testing program and adhere to federal provisions, including Buy American Preferences, Foreign Trade Restriction, Davis Bacon Act, Executive Order 14173, EEO, Federal Labor Provisions, Debarment and Suspension, and requirements for a drug-free workplace.
