Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
Sealed bids will be received for the following improvements: Public Facility – HVAC Replacement. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided. No proposals will be issued to bidders after 10 a.m. on the 24th day of April 2026. All proposals or bids offered must be accompanied by a bid bond, cash, or certified check made payable to Park Lawn Association in the amount of not less than one percent (1%) of the total amount of the proposal as a guarantee that if the proposal is accepted a contract will be entered into and the performance of the contract is properly secured. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the proposals without the consent of the Executive Director of Park Lawn Association for a period of 3 days after the scheduled time of closing bids. All laborers and mechanics employed by the Contractor or Subcontractor(s) on construction work for this project shall be paid wages at rates not less than those prevailing on similar construction in the locality as determined by the Secretary of Labor in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act, and shall receive overtime compensation in accordance with and subject to the provisions of the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act. Contractors and Subcontractors must comply with all applicable Federal laws and regulations pertaining to labor standards, the Copeland “Anti-Kick Act,” and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements for Community Development Block Grants. Each bidder is required to be registered in the Federal Government databank for contractors at SAM.gov and have an active Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number. Compliance with "Section 3" is required, calling for affirmative action to train and/or hire lower income residents of the project area and to subcontract with local, small businesses. The successful bidder will be required to file a performance bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. Sufficient insurance or guaranty of indemnity against any and all claims which might arise for damages to persons or property due to the negligence of the Contractor or Subcontractor(s) is required. The Park Lawn Association reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or bids.
