Renovation of a municipal facility in Preston, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Sealed bids are invited for the Preston Town Hall Generator Tie-In. The contract will be awarded for this project. A bid bond and contractor prequalification are not required. Prevailing wage rates will apply if the contract value meets or exceeds $100,000. A site visit is required for all bidding contractors prior to bid submission. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held outside the Main Entrance of the Town Hall where project details will be discussed and questions answered. Contractors unable to attend the pre-bid meeting can arrange a site visit on specified days and times. The successful bidder must file a 100% Performance Bond, a 100% Labor & Materials Bond, and a Certificate of Insurance within ten days of bid award notice. Compliance with certain local, state, and federal requirements is mandatory. The awarded contractor must execute the contract and general conditions as provided without exception, condition, or qualification. Plans and specifications must be obtained directly from the specified website at no cost, and bidders are responsible for checking for addenda. The Town of Preston reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids, waive defects, or accept proposals in the Town's best interest. Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
