Site work for a development in Hughesville, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a development.
The scope of work includes approximately 700 feet of stream restoration involving excavation, grading, slope stabilization fabric, riparian buffer plantings, erosion and sedimentation controls, and all necessary appurtenances and restoration related to the construction. Bidders are required to purchase the Bid Documents for a non-refundable deposit. Proposals must be submitted using forms provided by the Township and be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to 10% of the bid amount to guarantee contract entrance if awarded. All procurement is subject to the requirements of the Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, and The Public Works Employment Verification Act. Contractors must comply with federal Executive Orders and EPA regulations regarding Disadvantage Business Enterprises, and demonstrate good faith efforts to include DBEs in procurement activities. No proposal may be withdrawn for ninety days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in bidding. Award of contract will be to the lowest responsible bidder or all bids may be rejected within ninety days, with the possibility of delaying the award or rejection for up to one hundred twenty days for required governmental approvals. All bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
