The Clay County Board of County Commissioners is requesting bids from qualified and licensed contractors for fire alarm upgrades and improvements at the Clay County Sheriff's Office Jail, located at 901 N Orange Avenue, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043. Bidders are required to submit all inquiries regarding this request for bid in the designated "Question and Answer" tab. Bidders must not contact any board member, county employee, evaluation committee member, or county agent regarding the request for bids during the designated period, except as specifically allowed through inquiries to the Purchasing Department, pre-bid conferences, or formal presentations. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive defects, and award the contract in the best interest of the county. There is a local preference and Buy American policy in place. Failure to include a proper bid bond or other approved security will result in rejection of the bid. Only those not on the convicted vendor list are eligible. Bidders must ensure compliance with all instructions and policies, and are responsible for confirming bid bond requirements. The Board reserves the right and power to reject any and all Bids without cause and to waive technical and non-technical or non-material defects in the Request for Bids or submittal of any Bid, and in its discretion to re-advertise the Request for Bids.
