Renovation of a library in Canton, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 37,168-square-foot, two-story above grade library.
Question Deadline 04/24/2026 at 5:00 PM ET All bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted online by for general bids. MBE/WBE Participation Goals for Construction Awards for this project, under G.C.c.7, 40N, Executive Order or policy shall be goals as follows: 4.2% for D/MBE and 8.8% for D/WBE. The Project consists of but not limited to The Work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion the work shown on the plans and described in these specifications including, but not necessarily limited to selective interior demolition and abatement, reconfiguration of interior spaces, construction of new partitions and ceilings, installation of new finishes including flooring, millwork, glazing, acoustic treatments, and painting, structural modifications to support new architectural features, upgrades and modifications to HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, lighting, and low-voltage systems, installation of audiovisual systems, operable partitions, signage, and window treatments, and coordination of work within an occupied facility including phasing, temporary protection, and off-hours work as required. The work is estimated to cost $3,100,000.00. The work includes phased interior demolition and reconfiguration to allow continuous library operations; removal and reinstallation of library furniture and equipment; installation of new interior storefront systems, operable acoustic partitions, custom millwork, and a tiered wood structure with structural steel supports; replacement and repair of ceilings and floor finishes; installation of acoustic treatments; selective upgrades to lighting, electrical, HVAC, fire protection and alarm systems, IT and audiovisual coordination, minor plumbing improvements, and repainting of affected areas. Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. All bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted online by 04/16/2026 at 5:00PM EDT for filed sub-bids and by 04/24/2026 at 5:00PM EDT for general bids.
