Scope of Work: The selected proponent will be responsible for maintenance of the Darkwoods road system, including clearing slumps, fixing holes, replacing culverts, and cleaning ditches as required on the main road system (Porcupine, Jersey, Blazed, and Newington roads). The extent and location of repairs will be determined after snow melt and spring freshet. Initial road clearing and minor repairs are to be completed between June 1 and July 1, while a schedule for larger repairs will be developed with the Nature Conservancy of Canada (NCC) once they are identified. In addition, approximately 25 km of road must be graded in preparation for forest harvest activities. Machines must also be available to respond to emergencies, such as repairing roads in case of washouts or during wildfire season.
