Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Rockford, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 11,000-square-foot playground / park / athletic field.
1. This section includes the following a. Brief description of scope b. Definitions c. Funding d. Examination of site conditions e. Summary of Bids f. Work Instructions The work scope includes the removal of and replacement of hot water piping, fan coil units, and appurtenances as shown in the bid plans and specifications. The Base bid includes the work shown on the Angus Young plans and specifications in the exhibition house of NCG. Alternate 1 will be the work shown in the Alternate 1 Package which has design drawings from Legacy Designs. Please note that this is a programmed and heavily visited site with many field trips and events such as Food Truck Tuesdays. The Owner reserves the right to halt construction for planned events that fall within the contractors' provided schedule. The completion date has been lengthened to accommodate for intermittent interruptions. Requests for Information (RFI's) are to be submitted in writing to debbiebrooks@rockfordparkdistrict.org by Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 12:00 p.m.. The Rockford Park District is seeking qualified contractors to submit bids for the removal and replacement of heated water piping, fan coil units, insulation, and appurtenances as shown in the bidding documents for Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens, located at 1354 North Second St., Rockford, IL 61107.
