Greenwood County is requesting proposals from qualified General Contractors for the design and construction of a fire station located at 523 Whitehall Road in Promise Land, SC. The project involves the design, permitting, clearing, grading, and construction of a single-story, approximately 7,500 SF, full-time fire station building. The station will include garage space for four fire apparatus and one EMS apparatus, with an 8-inch heavy-duty concrete driveway to Whitehall Road. Additional features of the station will include sleeping quarters for up to eight, three and a half bathrooms, kitchen, utility room with washer/dryer, office space, and a meeting/multi-purpose room. The station is to be similar in size, function, and layout to Fire Station 45 at 128 Greenwood Avenue South, Ware Shoals, SC.
