Description

Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Kalona, Iowa. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project.

The work includes converting a 3-cell control discharge lagoon into a 3-cell aerated lagoon with a fix film reactor. Construction generally consists of demolition of existing piping and control structures, lagoon sludge removal, installation of new control structures and piping, constructing a new dike, installation of a floating baffle wall, construction of a wastewater lagoon building and installation of aeration equipment, construction of a UV disinfection structure, installation of other wastewater equipment, and installation of new 12” and 6” force main.
