The Project includes the renovation of approximately 6,200 square feet of existing interior space on the lower level of the Gordon B. Olson Library on the campus of Minot State University. The renovations include converting existing book stack area in the library into a new flexible, maker-space classroom with adjacent offices, splitting an existing office in two to create a smaller office and a conference room, and upgrades to two existing classrooms for the new Innovation Engineering program. Project location: 500 University Ave W, Minot ND Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing the Bidder's Contractor's license and bid security. The Bidder must be licensed for the full amount of the bid. Bid security in the form of a bidder's bond shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after opening of bids. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Substantial Completion is August 1, 2026. Work is subject to liquidated damages. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to the Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Sealed Lump Sum Bids will be received for Gordon B. Olson Library - Innovation Engineering Remodel. Bids shall be prepared in compliance with the Instruction to Bidders and shall be bid as General Contract (all trades) OR Multiple Contract Project consisting of the following prime contracts: General Building Construction; Mechanical Bids not fully complying with the requirements of North Dakota Century Code Chapter 48-01.2 or the Instructions to Bidders will not be read or considered. Any deficient bid will be resealed and returned to the Bidder immediately. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
