Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Roof Replacement Services as described herein. Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, supplies, parts, disposal, travel, equipment, permits, and incidentals necessary to remove, dispose, and replace the existing roof system. 2. The services shall be performed in Caltrans District 4 located at 600 Lewelling Boulevard, San Leandro, CA, 94579 in Alameda County. 3. Any reference to Caltrans Contract Manager shall also include designee. A. Contractor shall remove existing low slope Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) roofing and sheathing and install new single-ply (Class A) roofing membrane according to the specification outlined in Exhibit A, Scope of Work, Attachment 2, Project Plans and Attachment 3, Building Specifications. B. Contractor shall perform work and install new single-ply (Class A) roofing membrane according to the manufacturers requirements as specified in Exhibit A, Scope of Work, Attachment 2, Project Plans, and Attachment 3, Building Specifications. C. The approximate roof area for Asset #1635-03 is 6,663 square feet and for Asset #1635-06 is 2,711 square feet. Contractor shall field verified prior to starting work. D. Contractor shall remove existing solar panels on equipment storage building and disconnect from the electrical panel. Contractor shall legally dispose of existing solar panels and pertinent components. Refer to Exhibit A - Scope of Work, Attachment 2, Project Plans, and Attachment 3, Building Specifications. E. Contractor shall remove existing metal cap and flashing, roof vents, Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) equipment, and roof drain as required for new work. Refer to Exhibit A, Scope of Work, Attachment 2, Project Plans, and Attachment 3, Building Specifications. F. Contractor shall install new metal cap and flashing, metal vents and flashing, roof drains, drip edge metal flashings, and curb with curb flashing for HVAC equipment, as required in kind and outlined in Exhibit A - Scope of Work, Attachment 2, Project Plan, and Attachment 3, Building Specifications. G. Contractor shall provide Caltrans Contractor Manager two (2) weeks' notice prior to start of work. H. Contractor shall notify State Fire Marshall (SFM), one (1) week prior to start of construction. I. Contractor shall post SFM building permit on site. J. Contractor shall coordinate final inspection with Caltrans Contract Manager and SFM. K. Work shall not be accepted until the roofing manufacturer's warranty certificate is received. Failure to provide documents as required may be grounds for termination of this Agreement in accordance with Exhibit D, Termination.
