Description

Site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in San Leandro, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.

The work consists of environmentally conscious construction and installation of a prefabricated steel Struss bridge over a creek, and all appurtenant work in place and ready for use, as shown on the plans and described in the specifications. All bidders must attend one of the mandatory pre-bid conferences and sign the attendance sheet to qualify. A Class 'A' and/or Class 'C51' Contractor's License is required. Bidders must address all project addenda in their proposals. The prevailing rate of wages as set by the California Labor Code must be paid. The plans and Contract Book are available for free download from the city's website, and hardcopies can be purchased. Bidders who download the plans are encouraged to contact the city to be placed on the project plan holder's list for notifications of addenda and other project information. No bid will be accepted from contractors not licensed in accordance with California law. Questions regarding the plans and specifications may be submitted in writing to the project engineer until 5:00 p.m. five (5) days, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, before bids are due ( June 16th . 2026 ).
