The scope of work includes roadway improvements to Waldon Road and Kyte Place, such as Belgian block curb, concrete curb, concrete sidewalk, drainage improvements, milling, paving, and all other work necessary for the completion of the project, including other miscellaneous locations throughout the Borough. All work must be completed within ninety calendar days from Notice to Proceed. Instructions to bidders: The bid packet must be completed as designated in the contract documents and enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the project name. It must be addressed to the Borough Clerk of the Borough of Fanwood. Bid packets must be accompanied by a Statement of Consent of Surety from a surety company authorized to do business in New Jersey and either a Bid Bond or Certified Check made out to "Borough of Fanwood" for at least ten percent of the total bid price, not exceeding $20,000. A performance and payment bond for the full project amount is required for the successful bidder. The successful bidder must comply with all statutory requirements as outlined in the contract documents, including but not limited to affirmative action, business registration, prevailing wage, and public work contractor registration. The Borough of Fanwood reserves the right to reject any or all bids as permitted by law. Award will be made to the lowest responsive bidder if deemed reasonable, within available funds, and in the interest of the Borough.
