The Fairhope Utilities Electric Division is accepting proposals from qualified firms to provide professional services for conducting an inventory of attachments by joint-users to the City of Fairhope Electric System, attachments of the City’s Electric System to others, and an inventory of the City’s Electric System with phasing diagrams. The proposer is responsible for providing a full inventory of joint use attachments, a full inventory of pole mounted equipment, GPS coordinates for all equipment both overhead and underground, and a system phasing inventory. All bids must be submitted on blank bid forms provided in the Bid Documents and enclosed in a sealed, opaque envelope, clearly identified on the outside as a “Sealed Bid” with Item Name, Bid Number, City of Fairhope’s Name and Address and Contractor’s Name and Address. Each bid must be in a separate envelope. Bids made out in pencil will not be accepted. Failure to observe these instructions will constitute grounds for rejection of the bid. Only contractors properly qualified in accordance with all applicable laws of the State of Alabama, and where applicable, holding a current license from the State Licensing board for General Contractors, may submit proposals. The awarded vendor, if non-resident and a corporation, must show evidence of qualifying with the Secretary of State to do business in Alabama and must have or obtain a current business license with the City of Fairhope prior to performing work. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after opening without the city's consent.
