The Nix Center Restrooms Renovation project requires the contractor to provide all material, equipment, labor, incidentals, overhead, and profit. The project is a Level 1 interior renovation to update finishes and plumbing fixtures. The design intent is to make the restrooms ADA compliant by changing out the 11 plumbing fixtures for one-to-one replacements, installing new countertops with 6 new sinks with trash can holes, removing and replacing the tile floors and base, installing new toilet partitions, installing new grab bars, and repainting the existing walls. Bidders must review the contract documents including drawings and specifications for further information. All bids must use the forms provided in the Bid Documents, be enclosed in a sealed opaque envelope clearly identified as a "Sealed Bid" with the required details, and no bids made out in pencil will be accepted. The contractor must be properly qualified and, where applicable, provide evidence of a current license from the State Licensing board for General Bidders. The awarded vendor, if a non-resident corporation, must show evidence of qualification with the Secretary of State to do business in Alabama. The contractor must have or obtain a current business license with the City of Fairhope before performing work. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty days after the opening of proposals. The City of Fairhope encourages the use of Minority Business Enterprises and requires compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws and contract provisions. The City reserves the right to accept, reject, or waive portions of bids or informality as deemed in its best interest.
