The contractor shall perform a comprehensive pre-demolition environmental survey of the Former General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital complex prior to demolition activities. Services include a thorough inspection of all identified buildings to verify and update information contained in the AE-0 Planning Study and the existing Pre-Demolition Inspection Report. The contractor shall assess the Hospital and Clinic (Building 310), Central Utility Plant (Building 311), associated Infectious Waste Storage structure, Ambulance Garage, and Temporary Helipad for asbestos and other hazardous or regulated materials through destructive testing as required to access concealed areas such as walls, insulation, baseboards, and other hidden components. The contractor shall identify, quantify, and document the types, quantities, and precise locations of hazardous and regulated materials and describe the required abatement methods, special demolition procedures, disposal requirements, and worker safety measures. The scope also includes identifying storage tank locations, determining contents, and documenting evidence of leakage, if any. All sampling, testing, and inspections shall be planned and executed in accordance with applicable Federal and State regulations, and destructive sampling is authorized to ensure complete and accurate assessment.
