As of May 08, 2026, the project was awarded to Taylor Backhoe Service Inc. dba TBS Contractors, with an awarded amount of $754,553.52. Erma B. Reese Bridge Classroom Portable Project The project consists of relocating a 960 (1,140 sf with overhangs) square foot portable classroom building from stockpile (DSA# 04-123059 Serial # C-23-2987 A/B) to Erma B. Reese Elementary School. The building is to be moved as separate modules and then reconnected on site, set on a wood foundation over asphalt paving, and provided with a metal ramp. The building will be connected to the site's fire alarm, data, intercom, EMS, and intrusion alarm systems. The project includes accessible path of travel upgrades, replacement of restroom signage, replacement of select restroom accessories, and relocation of one sink as indicated on plans as part of accessibility upgrades. The work also includes any other work as shown in the documents and as required for a complete and operational project, payment of prevailing wage, and provision of insurance and bonds. To bid, bidders must possess a valid "A and/or B" California contractor's license and be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations. All bids must be submitted on the form provided, include a bid bond or equivalent in the amount of 10% of the bid price, and conform to all instructions. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is required for bid eligibility. The successful bidder will be required to furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds.
