Amtrak is currently accepting Letters of Interest for Construction Services in support of our Train Wash Tank Door Replacement Project in Oakland, CA. Amtrak requires a contractor to facilitate the replacement of a double door with a larger roll up door to access the chemical room of the train wash building. In order to accommodate this, the building (corrugated metal structure) will need to be modified to accommodate the larger door. Keystones for the project: o Removal of existing door o Widening of door orifice to accommodate new rollup door, including reframing the walls and threshold as required o Obtain and install new roll up door o Approximately 10' wide, 12-14' tall, depending on ability to fit door within structure, wall-mounting facilities, and piping o Manual control (chain or other) - no motor to be included o Roll up door should be industrial and outdoor rated and appropriate meet all safety requirements (federal, state, and local)
