The project is for the "BIG POND ROAD CULVERT REPLACEMENT PROJECT" in South Newton Township. The work consists of demolition, excavation, installation of a Contech Aluminum Arch Culvert, stone subbase, milling, asphalt paving overlay, asphalt paving, guiderail, seeding and mulching, E&S BMPs, and related tasks. Bidders must submit a certified check or bank draft payable to South Newton Township or a satisfactory Bid Bond in an amount equal to ten percent of the total bid with their submission. The bid must also include a fully completed Non-Collusion Affidavit. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance and Payment Bond equal to 100% of the contract amount, issued by a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania. All contractors and subcontractors are required to use e-Verify for employment eligibility verification, and must provide the verification form as a precondition to contract award. The Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage and Related Acts apply. Bids may be held for up to 60 days for review and qualification purposes. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities, or negotiate contract amounts.
