The City of Polson and local dog park association ("Woofpack") are undertaking a joint project to make needed maintenance improvements at the Travis Dolphin Dog Park (Kerr Dam Road). As a result, the City of Polson is accepting bid proposals for completion of this project. An acceptable bid proposal will contain an itemized list of all charges for labor and materials, as well as material specifications, drawings, required contract terms or responsibilities, and other notes concerning project implementation. The deliverables for this project are : All labor and expertise needed for successful project planning , permitting , and construction . Demolition & Excavation of existing walking path (as necessary ) Installation of 4.8 oz woven weed barrier (full length of existing walking path ) Installation of 3/4" recycled gravel to a depth of 3" the entire length of walking path o 3/4" recycled gravel is 3/4" crushed gravel with ground up recycled concrete binder . Construction of two (2) retaining walls utilizing flat face blocks , step blocks , and cap blocks as necessary for stable construction - complying with any standards specified by the manufacturer Includes any needed grading for wall construction 25 ' x 18 " 75 ' x 18 " The location of both retaining walls is marked with stakes and ribbons onsite ; as of April 15 , 2026 . The contractor is responsible for all work related to the acquisition of any necessary permits from the City of Polson , Lake County , Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes , State of Montana , or any other government agencies .
