The work consists of the new construction of treatment units to expand the capacity of the Fairview Meadows Wastewater Treatment Plant from 0.26 MGD to 0.45 MGD. The improvements generally include furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performing all necessary tasks to construct all Phase 3 Expansion improvements as shown in the construction plans. This includes steel aeration tanks, an aerobic digester tank, headworks, steel clarifier tank, steel chlorine contact basin, new blowers, new influent lift station, new electrical gear and generator, and associated equipment as detailed in the plans and specifications. The expected duration is 550 days. Information and bidding documents may be obtained at no cost from www.civcastusa.com. Prospective bidders are urged to register as a planholder on the designated website even if documents are obtained elsewhere. The website will be updated periodically with addenda and other information relevant to submitting a bid. Official notifications, addenda, and documents will only be offered through the designated website. Neither the Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for documents obtained from sources other than the designated website. A pre-bid conference will be held, and attendance is encouraged but not required. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders included in the bidding documents. Each bidder shall furnish a bid guarantee equivalent to five percent of the bid price. If a bid bond is provided, the contractor must use a surety company authorized to do business in Texas in accordance with Art. 7.19-1, Bond of Surety Company; Chapter 7 of the Insurance Code. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities and/or minor irregularities, and award a contract to the bidder best meeting the specifications, conditions, price, and other factors considered. No bid may be withdrawn until the expiration of ninety (90) days from the date bids are opened. All questions are due by the specified deadline.
