The work consists of the drilling of three new water wells and all associated appurtenances, as well as sitework required for successful project completion as described in the specifications and shown on the drawings. Bidders must furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the Rhome Water Well Additions project. Each bidder must be licensed under State Law as a General Contractor and comply with Department of Labor Safety and Health Regulations for construction. The bid must be accompanied by a deposit of cash or a certified or cashier's check drawn on a bank or trust company insured by the FDIC, or a bid bond in the same amount, equal to five percent of the bid. Bidders are required to make efforts for minority business participation in accordance with state law and to comply with relevant labor standards employment requirements. The successful bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept the bid in the best interest of the City of Rhome. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days from the date bids are opened.
