Work consists of the construction of a single span precast concrete bridge with steel retaining walls and approach roadways. Bids must be sealed, addressed, and marked as specified. Contractors may submit bids in a sealed envelope or electronically. All bid envelopes should contain the bidder's name and mailing address, specify the bid item, and display the bidder's certificate of responsibility number or a statement that the bid is less than $50,000. Proposals must be accompanied by a Proposal Guaranty (Bid Bond, Cashier's Check, or Certified Check) for 5% of the bid amount. For electronic bids, all required information and forms must be included in "pdf" format and secured with a bid bond. The authorized signature can be either a hand-written blue ink signature or an electronic signature. The County reserves the right to reject all bids, waive any informalities, and postpone the award of the Contract for up to 60 days from the bid opening date. Contract time shall be 60 days. Minority business enterprises will be given full opportunity to participate and will not be discriminated against based on race, color, or national origin.
