The Replace Rotating Beacon and Rehabilitate Beacon Tower project at Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport includes replacing the rotating beacon, controls, circuits, repainting the beacon tower, and other miscellaneous work. The contract time for the base bid is 180 consecutive calendar days. Liquidated damages of $1,000.00 per calendar day will be assessed for each day beyond this period. During replacement, the beacon may not be out of service for more than 15 calendar days. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law with a current Certificate of Responsibility from the Mississippi Board of Public Contractors. Proposals must include a Bid Bond of 5% of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to execute the contract, and provide a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond within 10 days after award. If submitting electronically, original bid bond documents must be delivered within 48 hours of bid opening. Bidders are required to comply with federal wage, labor, and nondiscrimination regulations, and adhere to the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and other relevant laws and federal provisions. The Gulfport-Biloxi Regional Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities. Bids must be held for 90 calendar days after the bid opening date. Bid documents must be purchased and viewed via the specified online portal.
