Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Gulfport, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility.

The work includes the extension of Runway 18-36, relocation of a portion of Taxiway J, and rerouting of the perimeter road, as well as milling and overlay, pavement removal, asphalt and concrete work, airfield lighting and electrical improvements, pavement markings, earthwork, and other miscellaneous work at Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport. The contract time is 450 consecutive calendar days. Liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000.00 per calendar day will be assessed for each calendar day thereafter, and $1,000.00 per 15-minute interval of runway closure past schedule opening. Bids must be submitted on the standard form of bid proposal and include a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Bid. The successful bidder must execute the standard form of Contract and Agreement, with a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond, within 10 days after formal award. If submitting electronically, original bid bond documents must be delivered within forty-eight hours of the bid opening. Bids must remain valid for 120 days after closing. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law with a current Certificate of Responsibility from the Mississippi Board of Public Contractors and must indicate this number on the bid envelope or as an attachment if submitting electronically. All bidders must be properly licensed at the time of bid submission. Minority and women's business enterprises are encouraged to bid and make inquiries regarding subcontracting and supply opportunities. All bidders must make positive efforts to use small and minority-owned businesses and women business enterprises. The project is subject to Davis-Bacon Act wage and labor provisions. Award of the contract is subject to compliance with federal civil rights requirements, Buy American Preferences, Foreign Trade Restriction, Government Debarment and Suspension, Drug Free Workplace, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Participation, and other applicable federal and state provisions. Gulfport-Biloxi Regional Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in bids received.
