Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a medical facility; for the addition of a medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.
Renovation and addition work associated with Project No. 679-24-102, titled "B18 Laundry Renovations & Additions," at the Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center. This acquisition is restricted as a 100 percent set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) only. Additional requirements, specifications, and details are provided in the solicitation and Attachments 1 through 9. Location: Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center, 3701 Loop Road East, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404. Requests for Information (RFIs) are due by Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 1:00 PM CST, via email to joseph.osborn@va.gov. Late RFIs may not be accepted and offerors are responsible of ensuring questions are received on time. Responses to RFIs will be provided in question and answer form via a posted amendment at online. MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION: Between $10,000,000.00 and $20,000,000.00 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Work includes general construction, alterations, roads, walks, grading, drainage, and construction and certain other items as required by the contract drawings and specifications. Renovate the existing historic Laundry Facility in Building 18 on the Tuscaloosa VA Campus, and construct a new generator enclosure, and a fuel tank enclosure building. New traffic control gate arms will be provided with this project to control traffic. In addition to the above requirements, Contractor shall abide by all VA safety rules and regulations, and ensure work is compliant with applicable NFPA and NEC codes.
