Renovation of a fire / police facility in Rochester, New Hampshire. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 16,000-square-foot, two-story above grade, one-story below grade fire / police facility.

City of Rochester, NH is soliciting a competitive bid proposals as follows. BID 26-14 Rochester Central Fire Station Alterations & Improvements A. The work consists of alterations to an approximate 16,000 square foot facility and will include alterations to the following spaces : 1) Second Floor ceiling : EOC/ Training Room / Conference Room , Lounge , Kitchen and Bathrooms / Showers ; Offices and Sleeping Rooms will be altered for a new spray insulation , ceiling systems and HVAC systems , including selective demolition of the second floor ceiling and HVAC systems . 2) Second Floor : EOC/ Training Room / Conference Room , Lounge , Kitchen and Bathrooms / Showers ; will be altered for new plumbing , electrical , HVAC systems , including new interior doors , cabinetry , partitions , finishes . 3) The basement , first floor and mezzanine levels will only be altered in connection with improvements to the second floor level , but otherwise will remain unchanged . 4) New rooftop HVAC units will be provided requiring structural modifications and repairs to the roof assembly . 5) Sitework and grounds improvements are not required . B. The Contractor shall coordinate with the Owner's vendor for installation of a new Station Alert System Fire Department Operational Status : The Central Station will remain operational for the duration of the project , 24 hours / day , 7 days per week . The contractor shall coordinate with the Fire Chief , the Department of Buildings and Grounds , and other City Departments , the Owner's contractors , and the Architect / Engineer , to phase , coordinate and schedule the work of this project prior to commencement of the work ; reference is made to the Scope and Sequence of Work , and Construction Scheduling specification requirements Proposals will require detailed evaluation prior to award . Question Deadline 04/29/2026 Q&A updates will end one week prior to bid opening. Technical questions regarding the bid documents should be directed to Weston & Sampson Project Manager, Joe Fitzpatrick, in writing at fitzpatj@wseinc.com Results can be obtained online. Bid Security : Bid Security , certified treasurer's or cashier's check or bid bond , in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid shall accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders . Contract Security : The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in amount equal to the Contract Price . Reservation of Rights : OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive informalities in bidding or to accept the Bid or Bids , should the OWNER deem it in the Public interest to do so . Bid Withdrawal : No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the opening of Bids without consent of OWNER . Time For Completion : The Work shall be substantially completed within 180 calendar days from the date when the Contract Times commence to run. There are several Interim Milestones in addition to the time for Final Completion .
