The project involves the removal of existing and installation of new TPO roof membrane and removal of specified ductwork over the Auto, Welding, Poly and Advanced Manufacturing classrooms, and the AHU penthouse at the Van Buren Tech building, located at 250 South St, Lawrence, MI 49064. The scope includes removal and disposal of the existing roofing membrane, edge metal, and all marked duct and roof penetrations, ensuring all removed penetrations are properly insulated, capped, and sealed before installing the new membrane. New work includes the installation of a new induction welded, 60-mil TPO roof membrane, fit and sealed around remaining roof penetrations, new edge metal trim to match existing, and providing a 20-year warranty on the membrane. All necessary notices, permits, fees, and compliance with ADA requirements are the responsibility of the awarded bidder. The awarded bidder must submit a safety program before starting work. Bid instructions require sealed bids including a base proposal, affidavits for familial relationship and Iran Economic Sanctions Act, bid bond, company profile, project experience with at least three similar projects, and warranty information. Bid security is 5% of the bid amount. Performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract price are required within 14 days of award. Insurance requirements must be met before starting work. Bidders must ensure their proposals account for all measurements and details, and mandatory pre-bid inspection is required. Failure to provide required documents or bonds may result in rejection or termination of the agreement.
