The project consists of the replacement of existing sidewalks and installation of new sidewalks along with all other associated work included within the bid documents at Washington Elementary School. All bidders must use and complete all bid forms and comply with every requirement in the instructions and specifications. Every bid must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, not exceeding $20,000. All bidders and their subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development pursuant to the Public Works Contractor Registration Act. Bids must also be accompanied by a Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development for both the bidder and all subcontractors, and a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate for both the bidder and all subcontractors. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of the Law Against Discrimination and Affirmative Action. No bidder on the State Treasurer's or Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended, or Disqualified Bidders is eligible to bid. The contract, if awarded, will be given to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the requirements. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any minor informality in the bidding process if it is in the best interest of the Board of Education.
