Crystal Clear Special Utility District will receive sealed proposals for the Old Bastrop Water Main project. The project consists of approximately 15,000 linear feet of 16-inch water main along Old Bastrop Highway in Hays and Comal Counties. Components include gate valves, air release valves, tie-ins to existing water mains, and reconnecting water meters. Portions of the pipeline will be installed in public right-of-way and across existing Lower Colorado River Authority and gas line easements. Sealed proposals must be submitted on CivCast only, and late proposals will not be accepted. All questions about the bidding documents must be submitted in writing on CivCast at least seven calendar days prior to the opening date. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid issued by an acceptable surety must be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of the contract, written by a responsible surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas. Crystal Clear Special Utility District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive minor irregularities or informalities. Bids may be held for up to 60 days from the opening date for review and qualification purposes. Failure to respond to requested qualifications inquiry may result in a bid being deemed non-responsive.
